Job Description Overview

The Media Specialist effectively utilizes organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to assist and support the Communications Team in crafting creative, engaging, and consistent branding representing Pantano’s vision and values under the direction of the Communications Director.  

 

Ministry Experience plays a pivotal role in shaping the Pantano environment by strategically curating Outreach opportunities, ThisGen programs, Worship experiences, Production elements, and Communication strategies. Through their collaborative efforts, they ensure a seamless and impactful church experience that resonates with both the congregation and the wider community.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with staff to develop and maintain brand standards that are in line with Pantano’s overall branding
  • Update and maintain website content
  • Ensure consistency of Pantano branding across each ministry
  • Create web and print graphics
  • Assist in creating series elements graphics and animations
  • Leverage marketing and Social Media connections to create engaging steps with our church
    • Oversee all social media platforms across all campuses
  • Recruit, train and schedule Media volunteers
  • Create content for video announcements including weekly scripts, church-wide emails, and other informational communications

Other Duties

  • Attend weekly 1:1, team and staff meetings, including retreats
  • Adhere to all church policies and procedures as well as ensure that volunteers comply with guidelines for ministry
  • Prepare needed reports and correspondence
  • Work assigned duties during “All Hands On Deck” events such as Christmas and Easter services
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Active Difference Maker at Pantano Christian Church
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Office-related computer skills, including experience with common office software/programs and online applications
  • Ability to effectively utilize online communication, email and calendar tools
  • Ability to work productively without direct supervision
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with team members, volunteers and other staff
  • Ability to define and work to deadlines
  • A comprehensive understanding of social media networks and platforms, including increasing engagement from the audience
  • Experience with general design principles, trends and website design as well as WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite
  • A comprehensive understanding of great customer service principles and strategies
  • Demonstrated success in leading staff and volunteers as well as developing and growing teams
