Description

Job Summary: This position reports to and is evaluated by the director of advancement with a primary responsibility of overseeing all donor database activities and general support of the advancement office. 

 

Required Professional Qualities

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Computer literate including proficiency in MS products and web design
  • Knowledge and experience using donor software systems and databases
  • Experience with mass mailings (email and regular mail)
  • Experience with fundraising and event planning preferred

  • Follows Matthew 18 principle in dealing with interpersonal conflict

Essential Job Functions

 

Spiritual Leadership

  • Model victorious Christian living to staff, students and families (Philippians 2:1-5)
  • Model conflict resolution in a biblical manner (Matthew 18:15-17)
  • Pray for students, parents, staff and entire OCS community (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

 

Administrative Leadership

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures governing the operation of the school
  • Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality concerning the sharing of information about children, parents or staff
  • Attends and arrives punctually to scheduled devotional, committee and faculty meetings
  • Maintains professional dress and appearance as specified in the Employee Handbook
  • Represents the school in a favorable and professional manner to its constituency
  • Maintain professional and effective relationships with the administrative team

 

Coordination Leadership

  • Oversee and maintain all OCS donor database activities
    • Maintain all data records accurately and confidentially
    • Produce planned and ad-hoc reports
    • Interaction with software vendors i.e. Bloomerand, EFT
    • Create donor lists as requested
    • Coordinate all advancement solicitations; both mail and email
    • Coordinate correspondence to donors, including thank you letters and gift acknowledgements
    • Provide data for annual report
    • Donor tax receipts
    • Support Booster Club as needed
    • Maintain bank transactions
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for foundation and spirit store accounts
  • Prepare and submit advancement office receipts to business office
  • Maintain and update mailchimp for all school emails distributed by administration
  • Support web design and maintenance for special events (i.e. Givecampus)
  • Support administrative needs of Director of Advancement
  • Support the advancement team in fundraising events and activities

 

Additional Duties or Responsibilities

  • Support the broader program of the school by attending extracurricular activities when possible. (Back to School Worship night, Big Bash, Saints 5K, Drama production, Athletic Events, Band performances, Fine Arts night, Carnivals, etc.)
  • Treats all school owned technology (hardware and software) with respect, care, professionalism and in accordance with the Technology Use Agreement
