ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set an example for team members of commitment, security activities, work ethics and habits and personal character.
- Must be able to solve practical problems quickly and efficiently when the need arises.
- Must be able to handle paperwork and fill out reports for management.
- Must be able to communicate well and be suspicious with all activities happening inside the property at all times. Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting, or loitering around building.
- Must effectively respond to questions and concerns raised by top management, customers and security staff.
- Must possess supervisory and management skills as he takes the place of the security manager when he is not available.
- May fill in when Security Manager is absent.
- Train new employees according to all company specifications, including documentation.
- Track departmental safety records and document medically treated and non-treated injuries.
- Coordinate "walk through" of hotel with security staff as needed for inspection purposes.
- Work with staff on all "special events" programs within the hotel.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description
- Assign duties and schedule staff, balancing needs of hotel and productivity standards.
- Educate team members of emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities.
- Track departmental safety records and document medically treated and non-treated injuries.
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
