SUMMARY: This position assists in the oversight of all the outdoor P&B operations consisting of two pools, beach, cabanas, & receptions areas.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spends 80% of their shift outside supervising the team members and communicating with guests and residents to ensure memorable experiences. Cover staff breaks when needed.
  • Complete stand up daily and in the event of staggered shifts hold multiple meetings. Ensure during this meeting that we address uniform and grooming standards.
  • Know and communicate all Hotel 4 star Forbes service standards.
  • Trains all incoming staff on all Hotel 4 star Forbes service standards.
  • Consistently perform audits to ensure team members are performing to standard
  • Ensure staff completes “Daily Opening and Closing Checklists”
  • Ensure completion of the “Manager Timeline Checklists” and “Daily Recap Report” on every shift
  • Assists with adhering to the Rules and Codes set forth by the City in regard to Beach and Pool Operation on the beach.
  • Ensures appropriate amenities are distributed every 90 minutes on the pools; assist with delivery when needed
  • Resolve all guest and resident issues and follow up to ensure their satisfaction with the resolution Communicate these issues/outcomes to Pool and Beach Management Team in real time
  • Perform monthly inventory of towels,umbrellas and chair covers
  • Enter weekly schedules in payroll system & Update timesheets on every shift. Update Attendance Tracker as needed
  • Report all team member incidents to the correct departments and communicate to the hotel leadership team using the correct forms/tools
  • Responsible for all upkeep and condition of pool and beach FFE
  • Takes direction from hotel leadership and completes assignments and projects according to established deadlines
  • Assists with Oversight all phases of outdoor F&B outlet’s operation. 
  • Have good working knowledge of current food & beverage trends and menu presentation.
  • Has working knowledge of restaurant and bar promotions, cost control, beverage inventory, purchasing, and checkbook accounting.
  • Establish par levels for supplies and equipment. Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for anticipated business.
  • Responsible for all safety, sanitation and cleanliness of the outlets areas.
  • Must have strong commitment to guest service, the ability to respond to guest complaints in a timely, professional manner.
  • Strong technical skills and excellent management skills.
  • Assists with Labor Management within Restaurants and Pool and Beach Operations.
  • Assists in ensuring that all staff is trained to hotel standards and applicable government food handling regulations.
  • Will develop and implement strategies and practices which support employee engagement.
  • Assists with updating par levels for supplies and equipment. Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for anticipated business.
  • Strong Computer knowledge- Micros, Microsoft , SMS this knowledge is continuously improved as the systems develop

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Basic educational requirement.
  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred in hospitality management, or a related field.

Certifications

  • Food Handler Certificate: Unless already acquired will need to obtain within the first 6 months or less from onboarding
  • CPR Certification: Unless already acquired will need to obtain within the first 3 months of or less from onboarding
  • Certification in alcohol awareness program: unless already acquired will need to obtain within the first 4x months of or less from onboarding

Experience

  • Previous Experience: Requires a minimum of 5 years in hospitality or hospitality environment with supervisory experience preferred.

Skills

  • Leadership: Strong ability to manage and motivate staff.
  • Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with guests and staff.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and maintenance.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick thinking to address any issues that arise.
