JOB SUMMARY
The NextGen Worship Leader is a dynamic and creative leader who plays a key role in shaping and implementing worship experiences for Next Gen environments (Youth) as well as rotating in our normal weekend experiences across all of our multisite campuses. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of worship and music production. The ideal candidate will:

- Oversee and implement Traders Point Worship’s sound and music identity within NextGen environments
- Serve as a rotating worship leader at multi-sites for weekend gatherings and special events as needed
- Recruit, equip, and develop worship teams across all TP locations for Next Gen
- Lead in creativity and innovation to provide excellent, engaging, and Christ-centered worship experiences for NextGen gatherings
- Exhibit a growth mindset—always learning, adapting, and improving
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The NextGen Worship Leader does not currently have full-time staff direct reports but will provide leadership and oversight for worship volunteers.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
NextGen Worship Vision & Strategy
• Implement and oversee worship experiences in NextGen environments across all TP campuses
• Develop and maintain the Traders Point Worship sound, ensuring alignment with TP’s vision
• Consistently coach worship staff and volunteers to maintain a high standard of excellence
• Actively grow in theological depth, understanding the biblical foundations of worship
• Stay informed on music and technology trends that enhance worship experiences
Leadership & Shepherding
• Provide spiritual leadership and care for worship volunteers in youth spaces
• Create a culture of discipleship, development, and engagement within worship teams
• Serve as a pastoral presence, ensuring that worship is Christ-centered and missionally aligned
Worship Experience & Execution
• Manage worship experiences for NextGen in collaboration with Worship/NextGen Directors
• Lead and support worship experiences during weekend gatherings at our multisite campuses
• Implement systems for recruiting, auditioning, and the development of all NextGen worship volunteers
• Organize worship teams for all kids events, video shoots, trainings, and camps
• Oversee worship teams for Youth events, Youth Nights, Mid-Week Gatherings, Camps, and Trainings
• Serve as a rotating worship leader at multi-sites for weekend gatherings and special events as needed
Creative Development & Production
• Manage the onboarding of worship songs for NextGen and weekend gatherings
• Maintain studio spaces, equipment, and supplies to ensure a high-quality worship environment
• Steward the worship resources, budgeting, and contractor engagement for events and projects
• Collaborate with worship and production teams to align on all deliverables
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
• Direct report to the Worship Director and a dotted line to the NextGen Director
• Serves as an engaged member of the Worship staff, attending meetings and special events as required
• Actively engaged at TPCC, demonstrating a commitment to its mission and values
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Proficiency in Ableton, Logic, and Pro Tools for live and studio worship settings
• Strong experience with Planning Center Online (setlists, scheduling, workflows)
• Knowledge of live instrumentation and vocal arrangements for both Live and studio recordings
• Familiarity with the Nashville Number System
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot equipment
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and relational skills
• Capacity to provide constructive feedback while also receiving it with grace
• Adaptability and a “get-it-done” attitude
• Understanding of Microsoft Teams and Outlook for collaboration and scheduling
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• 2+ years of experience in worship leadership, music production, or a related field
• Experience leading and developing volunteer teams preferred
