The Learning Experience Manager at Instituto Mundo Verde (IMV) plays a pivotal role in managing and elevating participant engagement while driving instructional innovation and fostering strategic partnerships. This role ensures that IMV participants receive a high-quality, equity-centered learning experience by guiding them through their journey with personalized support, empathy, and care. As the main point of contact, the Learning Experience Manager acts as a concierge, addressing individual participant dilemmas or questions and seamlessly collaborating with facilitators or the Program Coordinator when needed. The role will also gather and synthesize participant feedback, identifying trends and insights to inform continuous program improvement, ensuring the voice of participants is heard and acted upon.
In addition to providing timely, bilingual (Spanish/English) feedback and facilitating 1:1 communications, the Learning Experience Manager will support all aspects of program execution by working closely with our Facilitator and Program Coordinator. This role will bring a strategic approach to instructional design, data analysis, and community-building efforts, ensuring that IMV’s programs continue to evolve, grow, and meet the needs of our diverse learners. The Learning Experience Manager will be instrumental in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment, always keeping participant success and growth at the forefront.
Reports To: This role reports directly to the Director of Instituto Mundo Verde
Key Responsibilities:
- Participant Engagement & Learning Guidance
- Serve as the primary guide for participants, supporting them throughout their learning journey with personalized, responsive communication.
- Provide timely and thoughtful feedback on assignments and tasks through the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring participant progress and understanding.
- Act as a concierge, addressing individual participant questions and dilemmas and directing them to the appropriate facilitator or coordinator when necessary. Ensure all concerns are addressed with empathy and care.
- Foster meaningful 1:1 communication with participants in both English and Spanish, creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
- Assist in delivering engaging, interactive online sessions in coordination with the Facilitator twice a week in the evenings.
- Instructional Design & Innovation
- Collaborate with facilitators and our e-learning specialist to design innovative, equity-centered learning materials and instructional strategies tailored for bilingual and multilingual learners.
- Continuously improve content and session delivery by incorporating participant feedback and leveraging best practices in bilingual education.
- Work to ensure that all instructional content reflects IMV’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Data-Driven Program Optimization
- Monitor participant progress using data analytics, identifying patterns in engagement and performance, and making data-driven recommendations for program improvements.
- Analyze feedback to detect recurring themes or challenges, and collaborate with facilitators and the program coordinator to adapt the curriculum and delivery as needed.
- Prepare reports and insights on participant outcomes, presenting actionable strategies for program enhancement to the director.
- Community Building & Engagement
- Build and nurture a strong participant community by facilitating peer-to-peer learning opportunities, discussions, and collaboration.
- Design and implement communication strategies that keep participants connected, informed, and engaged with IMV’s mission and values throughout their learning experience.
- Gather and respond to participant feedback, ensuring that their voices shape and improve the overall learning experience.
- Equity-Centered Program Enhancements and Strategic Partnerships
- Build and nurture a strong participant community by facilitating peer-to-peer learning opportunities, discussions, and collaboration.
- Design and implement communication strategies that keep participants connected, informed, and engaged with IMV’s mission and values throughout their learning experience.
- Gather and respond to participant feedback, ensuring that their voices shape and improve the overall learning experience.
- Collaboration and Professional Growth
- Partner with the Program Coordinator and Facilitator to identify and address gaps in participant engagement, ensuring the highest quality learning experience.
- Participate in planning and debrief sessions to continuously improve program offerings, share participant insights, and recommend adjustments based on feedback.
- Actively engage in professional development opportunities and learning experiences to grow skills, with an eye toward moving into a facilitation role.
