Description

Artcraft Management, an industry leader in Property Management, is urgently hiring for a full-time, results-oriented Maintenance Technician in Hampton, VA. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in maintenance and repair in preferably a property management setting.

Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Attend to routine and sometimes emergency maintenance calls
  • Ability to work individually and as a team
  • Assist with preventative maintenance
  • Maintain grounds
  • Turn vacant units to prepare for future tenants
  • Perform additional tasks as directed.

Education & Experience:

  • Must hold valid driver's license
  • Prior Residential repairs knowledge (Plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
  • HVAC Knowledge is a plus!

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull 25 – 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb, and crouch
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of potential weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour; Pay rate determined by experience.

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required:  
  • Technical training in one or more trades, and HVAC certification, Types 1 and 2. Possession of valid Virginia Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems; Project Management Software  
  • Other skills required:  
    • Must possess mechanical aptitude.
    • Must follow safety rules and regulations according to established OSHA and Artcraft Management, Inc. guidelines.
