Summary and Qualifications

Summary of Position

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Pastor of Teaching and Development, including managing a rigorous meeting, speaking and travel schedule.

This position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and excellence. The Executive Assistant must have the ability to work independently on tasks and projects and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted role which requires the ability to handle a wide variety of responsibilities and treat confidential matters with discretion.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Personal integrity and evidence of ongoing spiritual growth, as required of all church employees

  • Three to five years of prior experience in supporting a senior executive or team

  • Sharp attention to detail

  • Someone who exhibits sound judgment with the ability to prioritize and make decisions

  • Comfortable interacting with high-level executives

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Excellent organization and time-management skills

  • Proficient in communication and resourceful problem-solving 

  • Servant spirit – willing to support in multiple capacities

  • A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling meetings, travel, and other appointments for Pastor Bryan Loritts

  • Coordinating speaking engagement requests and communicating with event organizers

  • Arranging Pastor Bryan’s travel for speaking engagements

  • Monitoring Pastor Bryan’s email inbox and work phone to ensure emails, texts, and calls are responded to promptly 

  • Keep Pastor Bryan advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up

  • Handling financial responsibilities such as: managing budgets, credit card reconciliations, reimbursements and paying invoices 

  • Managing Pastor Bryan’s everyday responsibilities 

  • Assisting with various projects and miscellaneous tasks as assigned, including but not limited to sending weekly newsletters written by Pastor Bryan, uploading messages to podcast platform, and preparing presentations
