Summary and Qualifications

Summary of Position

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for fulfilling the vision of The Summit Church through administrative, operational, and logistical support of the Fuquay-Varina campus.  

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Administrative gifting - strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally; excellent written and verbal skills
  • Anticipates needs, manages time well; multi-task multiple projects and be flexible and adaptable
  • Gifted in data entry, tracking, follow through, and follow up
  • Preferred proficiency in Google Suite and quick learner of other digital systems
  • Discretion in handling personal and/or confidential information
  • Personal integrity and evidence of ongoing spiritual growth, as required of church employees (church attendance, small group membership, tithing, etc).
  • A member of the Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing support for the Campus Pastor, including financial reconciliations, calendar management, and planning ahead
  • Campus communication management via Rock, email, phone, weekly email, etc.
  • Campus calendar management, including submitting room reservations for the campus, as directed by the Campus Pastor
  • Submit any needed reimbursements and help with budget tracking and planning.
  • Regularly input data, including First Time Guests and baptisms
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, offering input and ideas that help all aspects of the campus 
  • Create campus specific rotating slides for weekend services from Canva templates 
  • Print materials and order supplies for weekend services, events, and ministries as needed 
  • Request the creation of lanyards on behalf of ministries
  • Give administrative aid to Men’s Discipleship (volunteer-led)
  • Be the point person between the Campus Team and Ministry Support and/or Central Staff (Central admins, HR, Finance, Digital Strategy, etc.)
  • Any and all other responsibilities as assigned by the Campus Pastor

The hours for this position are expected to be 20 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold. Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event and, when possible, staff are given the opportunity to select the area in which they would like to serve
