Safe Release Program Supervisor is responsible for supervising the operations of the Safe Release Support Program. The Safe Release Program Supervisor will be joining a team of committed individuals at the St. Frances Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance that serves the immigrant and refugee populations in the Greater Houston community. The Safe Release Program Supervisor works within a team-oriented environment to provide family reunification services to potential sponsors of unaccompanied children.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, with superior organizational skills, and has excellent time management and collaboration skills.

What you Deliver

  • Coordinates with sponsors and shelter case managers to schedule fingerprint appointments for sponsors with one of the four Safe Release Support Specialists.
  • Review the electronic file of sponsors in a case management system and internal digital file to ensure the accuracy of the data entered so that performance report is accurate and reliable. Create internal daily log and match with the information entered in the case management system.
  • Provide family reunification packet assistance and counseling when necessary to meet the demand for demand for services and meet contract requirements.
  • Maintain catalog of social services to the community up to date and available for the Safe Release Support Specialists to provide to the sponsors.
  • Ensure that all documents are digitized and filed in an organized manner for quick retrieval and reference daily and that all files are accounted for and properly completed daily.

Qualifications

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other behavioral science
  • Two (2) years of experience in case management services or related field

  • One (1) year of experience in leadership role

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Technology savvy with superior computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to shelter case managers and stakeholders via telephone and email.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to adhere to straight deadline and maintain high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task.
  • Experience working within the immigrant and refugee community.
  • Team-orientation, collaborative, and flexibility.
