Join the Fund Development team as The Senior Development Officer! The Senior Development Officer, works in a dynamic team with the Vice President of Development and Stewardship, grant writers, special events staff as well as senior leadership to secure donations for Catholic Charities. This involves researching, cultivating, stewarding and soliciting prospects/donors for major gifts for programs, capital campaigns, and special event sponsorships. The Senior Development Officer will also develop, manage, and direct events undertaken by Catholic Charities. The successful candidate is a person who is passionate about the faith-driven mission of Catholic Charities and enjoys introducing and connecting philanthropists to an organization that consistently delivers results for the people we serve.

 

The Expertise We Are Looking For

The Expertise We're Looking For

 

  • Bachelor's degree from Accredited University

  • Five (5) years of experience in fundraising, development, or sales fundraising

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License

  • You have strong interpersonal skills and a persuasive communication style.

  • You have proven success in face-to-face solicitation, in managing a large donor portfolio, and in providing excellent service to donors.

  • You have knowledge of principles of fund raising.

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • You have the ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

  • You have proven ability to work under pressure, meet aggressive deadlines, and work as a team player.

  • You have passion for the mission and vision of Catholic Charities and a desire to make a difference.

 

 

 

What you Deliver

 

  • You will identify prospects and cultivates gifts, donations and sustentative contributions for the Catholic Charities' programs, campaigns and events.

  • You will manage a portfolio of significant gift prospects and works closely with Vice President of Development and Stewardship to develop effective solicitation and stewardship strategies for each.

  • You will compose funding requests to constituents for gifting opportunities.

  • You will plan and facilitate meetings with prospects and donors.

  • You will travel with CEO, VP of Development, board members, and independently to ensure effective quantity of face-to-face work and relationship building.

  • You will help conceptualize, draft and prepare briefing materials for donor/prospect visits.

  • You will assist with planning, organizing and directing any Capital Campaign undertaken by Catholic Charities.

  • You will perform other duties as assigned.
