Role:  The People Experience Generalist is responsible for the daily functions of the People Experience Team including payroll processing, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, benefits enrollment, and maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role will also handle various operational related tasks such as data management, reporting, contributing to the overall efficiency of the People Experience Department. This role will support the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while providing a positive employee experience.

 

Pay: The pay for this position is $62,467.60 annually.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures accurate and timely preparation of bi-weekly payroll; ensures accuracy for salary increases, benefit and payroll deductions, and payroll adjustments. Updates reports, checklists, and payroll and compensation systems to reflect new enrollments, terminations, leaves of absence, contributions, and salary changes, etc.
  • Responsible for the full cycle recruitment process, including creating job postings, screening candidates, networking events, conducting background checks, and facilitating first day onboarding. Identifies, attracts, and engages diverse candidates for various roles within the organization.
  • Reviews and audits insurance carrier invoices to be reconciled with employer benefits plans and payroll deductions. Audits and investigates monthly billing discrepancies and serves as the contact between employer and carriers to resolve issues. Verifies the calculation of monthly premium statements for all client benefit policies and works with accounting to ensure payments are made to carriers on behalf of CapEd on a regularly basis.
  • Serves as a back up to People Acquisition Partner for salary surveys and market analysis completion.
  • Acts as a key point of contact for PXT related questions through PXT Solutions Inbox & Ask Here Inquiries, guiding employees on topics such as payroll, benefits, onboarding, recruiting, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with retirement audits, annual census reporting and 401(k) match calculation as part of year end preparation.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining stock of CapEd gear, CapEd shirts for new hires and employee's annual new shirt orders, ordering supplies and employee name tags.
  • Maintains up to date employee records in HRIS and ensures the accuracy of data.
  • Keeps up with DOL regulatory updates and ensures compliance with posters.
  • Maintains knowledge of all Credit Union products, services, and promotions.
  • Contributes to efficient CU operations by performing other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: A college degree in in finance, human resources, or a related field preferred, or a combination of education and related experience in payroll, finance, human resources, or benefits administration. Human Resource Certification (i.e. SHRM-CP or PHR).

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes and/or seasonal brightness through windows. This position may involve periodic stressful conditions. The Credit Unions business days are Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; however, this position may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and to include evening/weekend hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
