Role:

The Electronic Banking Operations Specialist is responsible for providing customer support for the bank's consumer and commercial electronic banking services. This position provides electronic banking support for both customers and internal staff. Responsible for some maintenance and support of electronic banking software applications.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Answers calls and responds to emails to handle customer inquiries.
  • Identifies and escalates priority issues.
  • Routes calls to appropriate resources and follows up customer calls where necessary.
  • Documents all call information according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains, analyzes and troubleshoots electronic banking products.
  • Documents all issues regarding digital delivery channels and works with IS to resolve.
  • Acts as the central communications point regarding issues with electronic banking products.
  • Assists in researching, testing and documenting functionality before and during implementation of any new digital channels or services.
  • Provides training on electronic banking products and services to internal staff.
  • Remains up to date on Security First Bank products and services, as well as regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Maintains documentation sufficient to demonstrate compliance with regulations.
  • Critical thinking and organization that will lead to efficiency improvement opportunities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Management:

  • Ability to adapt and embrace change and look at change as an opportunity for improvement.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking with emphasis on deposit accounts, branch operations and banking technology.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate effect of regulations on internal operations and procedures.
  • Ability to display true ownership of problem resolution and responsibility for actions taken.
  • Thorough knowledge of deposit documentation, accounting concepts and applications.
  • Ability to manage numerous on-going projects.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education and/or Experience.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in business, finance, technology or related field or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
  • Experience with current systems in use by organization is preferred.

Interpersonal Skills.

  • Good written and oral communications skills.
  • Must possess above average problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work independently.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Some experience in a call center or customer service environment; attention to detail; teamwork; stress tolerance.

While performing this job the employee would occasionally be required to carry loads up to and including 24lbs. It is frequently necessary to bend, squat, reach above the shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance and push/pull equipment. Firm grasping/fine manipulation with the right/left hand is necessary. In an 8-hour day, the employee can expect to sit about 6 hours.
