POSITION OVERVIEW

KPI Engineering Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer (Professional Engineer - early to mid-career). Qualified applicants must have practical experience using AutoCAD / Revit, as well as a degree in electrical engineering. Familiarity with mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design and electrical engineering is preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming conceptual data and information into construction documents and specifications for various building projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge and advance your career by learning across multiple engineering disciplines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of construction documents for MEP/FP design and coordination among disciplines
  • Supporting construction administration support services through review of information and site visits during and upon completion of construction
  • Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests and other data to plan and schedule work to meet negotiated deadlines

 

SKILLS

  • Electrical Engineering Degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer aided drafting programs and techniques using AutoCAD / Revit
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate directly with owners, architects, contractors, power companies, other design professionals
  • Demonstrate proficiency using professional software and tools like Microsoft Office / Word / Excel)
  • Be a self-starter with ability to work independently and manage priorities/deadlines on multiple tasks

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

The Construction Administrative Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the construction department managers and supervisors to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Construction permitting experience helpful
  • Experience of Microsoft Office software
  • Previous experience in a construction-related support role is required
  • Experience with COINS software helpful

Has ability to work remote when not required in office for project-specific requirements.   

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate the computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
