Job Summary
The Data Analyst position is primarily responsible for analyzing and processing data related to the financial industry. This data is used to create direct mail recommendations and key statistics to aid in the creation of numeric analysis and customer behavior modeling. Methods used include predictive analytics, exploratory data analysis, spatial analysis, cluster analysis and grouping techniques.

- Analyze customer behaviors by creating mail recommendations
- Processing and analysis of customer data and mail lists
- Generate various maps reflecting mail recommendations and customer locations
- Analyze account opening behaviors
- Create numeric analysis of consumer behaviors
- Creation of various reports including cross-sell modeling, segmentation, retention modeling and trending analytics
- Initiate methods to test new approaches and develop technology to help sustain business intelligence
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies
- Expert knowledge and experience working with Transact-SQL. Ability to create and resolve complex SQL queries.
- Required knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access
- Knowledge of VB.net, C#, ASP.net, HTML, JavaScript, Microsoft SQL Server, Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, PGP, ArcView GIS, ACE and Match/Consolidate Views from First Logic is favorable
- Knowledge of postal regulations is a plus
- Ability to problem solve
- Deadline oriented
- Self-starter
- Timely attendance.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
- Work under supervision of the Sr. VP of Data Intelligence.
- Casual/business casual attire.
- This role must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- This role must be willing to adjust work priorities to issues that arise.
- This role must enjoy working with people in person and also via telephone, email and Zoom.
- The noise level in the Haberfeld office is usually quiet.
Physical Demands
This job is mainly a sedentary role; however, the role does require the following non-sedentary activities:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, stand, and use hands to finger and handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects.
- The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, and to reach with hands and arms.
Preferred Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or related field preferred).
- Minimum of two years of related experience.
- Development experience preferred.
- Large database administration/design is desirable.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
