SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises gymnastics, movement education, dance, enrichment, and birthday party staff in accordance with Association policies, mission, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, addressing, and resolving performance issues. Monitor and submit payroll for all staff in a timely manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of two years of gymnastics instructor/coaching experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Must be able to teach gymnastics/dance classes as needed; including spotting during classes.
- Must be able to provide physical assistance and demonstration of proper techniques which may include bending, reaching, lifting, squatting, jumping, spotting and standing for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of USAG compulsory level skill requirements.
- Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Demonstrate adequate vision, hearing, and verbal articulation/projection skills to communicate effectively with all program participants.
- Strong organizational abilities as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Must have sincere interest and ability to comprehend needs and develop positive outcomes in children from diverse populations.
