Position Overview:

CESJDS is seeking a highly skilled user of Raiser's Edge NXT to join our Development team. This position is designed for a professional who can optimize the organization’s use of Raiser's Edge NXT to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy in gift processing, data reporting, and departmental operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of utilizing Raiser's Edge NXT to streamline data processes and drive fundraising success. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, with flexibility based on experience. The salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Raiser's Edge NXT Optimization:

  • Lead the utilization of Raiser's Edge NXT to ensure it meets the needs of the growing Development team.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize database processes, workflows, and data entry standards to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve the accuracy of donor and gift information.
  • Ensure Raiser's Edge NXT is being fully leveraged to track fundraising progress, donor retention, and engagement metrics.
  • Provide solutions for current system challenges and implement recommendations for improvement, particularly focusing on streamlining workflows and improving data quality.
     

Gift Processing and Acknowledgment:

  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of gifts, including coding, tracking, and reporting donations.
  • Ensure that donor acknowledgment letters and receipts are issued promptly, in alignment with IRS regulations and CESJDS policies.
  • Work with the finance team to reconcile gift data between Raiser's Edge NXT and accounting systems.
     

Data Reporting and Benchmarking:

  • Produce actionable reports and insights to guide Development strategies, fundraising campaigns, and donor stewardship efforts.
  • Benchmark fundraising progress, donor engagement, and retention using Raiser's Edge NXT reporting capabilities.
  • Monitor and track giving patterns, analyze trends, and make recommendations to improve fundraising efforts.
     

Process Improvement and Program Support:

  • Drive continuous improvements in data management, ensuring that all processes are aligned with the needs of the Development team.
  • Support Development events and initiatives by managing and maintaining accurate data to ensure smooth execution.
  • Provide guidance and training to other team members on Raiser's Edge NXT best practices, data integrity, and reporting processes.
     

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic recommendations on how to further integrate Raiser's Edge NXT with the broader goals of the Development team.
  • Assist with data-related aspects of annual campaigns, stewardship programs, and donor cultivation efforts.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Development and team members to drive data-driven decision-making in fundraising activities.
     

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Raiser's Edge NXT or similar fundraising/database systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising practices and data management.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
     

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, non-exempt position.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for events or special projects.
