GENERAL INTRODUCTION: Â
Each position employed with CYO Camps helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description. Â

GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE: Â
To lead and inspire campers to grow in the Catholic faith and ensure camper health and safety. Â
Â
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:Â Â
• Organize and lead a variety of small and large group crafts and projects each week. Activities may include painting, drawing, woodworking, sculpture, tie-dye, and other hands-on activities that cater to a range of ages and skill levels.Â
• Maintain a clean and organized craft hut. Ensure that the space is welcoming, tidy, and accessible, and that all craft tools and materials are stored properly when not in use.Â
• Plan diverse weekly craft activities. Develop age-appropriate projects and ensure variety in crafts to keep campers engaged and learning. Encourage creativity and offer modifications as needed for different skill levels.Â
• Monitor and manage inventory of supplies. Keep a precise record of craft materials, reordering items as needed to ensure all planned activities have the necessary materials.Â
• Maintain accurate program records. Complete and submit incident reports, attendance logs, and other records as required to track camper progress and ensure safety.Â
• Know and understand all emergency procedures associated with the camp program, including but not limited to evacuation routes, severe weather protocols, and first aid response.Â
• Follow and enforce all camp safety guidelines. Ensure that campers are aware of and adhere to safety protocols and that their whereabouts are known throughout each session.Â
• Collaborate with camp staff in other areas as needed. Assist with camp-wide events, activities, and supervision to contribute to a positive and safe camp environment.Â
• Support camper development and goal achievement. Foster an environment that helps campers reach the developmental goals set by camp leadership, encouraging skill-building, teamwork, and self-expression.Â
• Incorporate faith-based learning into activities. Look for opportunities, both planned and spontaneous, to integrate Catholic faith lessons within craft activities, helping campers make meaningful connections and encouraging spiritual growth.Â
