Custodian - Hourly

I. POSITION PURPOSE

Columbia River Catholic is seeking for a part time, custodian for its St. Thomas Aquinas campus in Camas, Washington. The person in this role provides cleaning and light maintenance for the parish building and grounds.

This is a part time position.  The hourly range for this position is $16.28/hour to $25.23/hour depending on experience and qualifications.

II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Assures the church, school and other parish buildings are maintained in a clean and
orderly manner including dust mopping and/or vacuuming floors, cleaning
bathrooms, and washing windows.
B. Clean and vacuum the stage in the church building.
C. Mop floors in the downstairs hall of the church building.
D. Mop and clean kitchen surfaces in the church building.
E. Clean and restock bathrooms in the basement hall of the church.
F. Provides other general assistance as needed through setting up the chairs, tables in
the parish and school facilities as requested, hauling moving items and picking up
parts or other equipment as requested by staff in the church.
G. Vacuum stairs and common areas in and around the church.
H. Clean the library area.
I. Mop pre-school floors and bathrooms.
J. Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required to function as a Custodian. This is
accomplished through reading appropriate materials and attending appropriate
workshops or participating in other training opportunities.

The major qualification for this role is the ability to manage the physical tasks associated with the position.  Those tasks include, but are not limited to the following tasks: 

a) Cleaning and restocking bathrooms on the church grounds.

b) Mopping floors in the buildings on the church grounds.

c) Vacuuming the stairs and the common areas in all the buildings on the church grounds.

d) Removing debris from the parking lot and the church grounds.

e) Cleaning the exterior windows for the buildings on the church grounds.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
