Description

The Healix Infusion Therapy Pharmacy is an accredited, licensed facility that meets or exceeds United States Pharmacopeia (USP) industry standards, with a focus on chapters USP <797> and USP <800>. The pharmacy provides sterile compounded medications for Healix-managed infusion centers nationwide and is committed to quality, patient safety, and precision.
Our clinical pharmacy team provides a variety of specialty services to support our clients and their patients and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This team prepares infusions and monitors drug utilization and interactions. The pharmacy can also provide infusion patients with take-home medications when applicable, which reduces the frequency of in-office visits, allows for a more manageable infusion center workload, and increases patient convenience and satisfaction.
The Healix Pharmacy additionally provides 503A traditional patient-specific pharmacy compounding for hospitals across the country. We offer a variety of therapies and drug delivery options along with clinical pharmacy services.

Healix has an opening for a* Clinical Staff Pharmacist*. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Promptly and accurately receives, interprets, evaluates, prepares, and dispenses prescription drug orders.
  • Upon request, provides to the patient or patient’s agent accurate and meaningful verbal and written drug and/or device information.
  • Monitors therapy for each patient, perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and maintains appropriate drug use for each patient and client.
  • Maintains appropriate oversight of the intravenous compounding and checks all pharmacist-required compounds prior to mixing.
  • Ensures that the clean room is maintained according to policy and law and regulation.
  • Maintains clean and neat pharmacy.
  • Ensures that patient charts are maintained, current, and complete according to state rules and regulations, Accreditation standards, and Healix policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates total patient care needs with the physician and nurse.

Schedule: Day shift 8:30am-6pm or 9:30am-6pm + on call rotation

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE*

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.); two to three years of related home care or hospital experience preferred;
  • Employees must comply with all internal and external requirements for education or continuing education specific to job duties and/or licensure.
  • Strong clinical therapeutic skills and demonstration of knowledge of appropriate medication dosing
  • Proven ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, be self-directed and possess excellent organizational skills

Competent in the use of computers/technology

  • Applicable State Board of Pharmacy License
  • ACPE Sterile Products Certification
  • CPR Certification
