Position Summary:
As an Accounting Intern, you will assist the accounting team with various tasks, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, vendor dispute resolution and client dispute resolution. This is a great opportunity to learn about the financial processes that drive a business and build practical skills for your future career.
 

Position Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with billing and gain an understanding of the billing process.
• Support the accounts receivable team as needed.
• Help manage incoming and outgoing mail.
• Assist in preparing and organizing financial reports.
• Assistance with collections and follow-up on outstanding payments.
• Assist in resolving client disputes, credits, and addressing any invoice-related questions.

Requirements:

• Education: 
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Clearance: 
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Competencies:
  • Reliable transportation and attendance.
  • Positive attitude and a passion for learning.
  • Have a passion for execution and success.
  • Goal-Oriented and emphasizes accountability for delivering results.
• Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Bilingual is a plus, ability to speak, write, and read in English and Spanish proficiently.
