DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The principal challenge of this position is to provide effective and accurate Human Resources support and assistance to managers and supervisors. This person will perform a variety of human resources administration functions, including conducting hiring processes, recruiting, training,  entering employee information in systems, rewards and recognition program management, record keeping, and other duties as assigned. Promoting and following the Core Values and business objectives of CSI.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of basic HR processes, laws, and procedures
  • Work flexible hours as scheduled or required for specific role while maintaining a reliable attendance record
  • Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Conformance to company performance rules such as work instructions, working standards, policies, etc.
  • Conformance to behavioral rules, expectations, and company policies
  • Analyze shift or plant performance data relative to functional specialty and provide the shift leader or Manager with assessments of opportunity
  • Facilitate employee adherence to requirements of your departmental specialty
  • Actively supports and participates in plant improvement & cost reduction programs
  • Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with all pertinent safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment
  • Participate in work related training programs
  • Close visual acuity to perform computer tasks, read & develop spreadsheets, read financial data, etc.
  • Able to participate in meetings and discussions with peer group and management team, and interact with employees in multiple locations and settings

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS

The requirements mentioned below are normally acquired by at least two years of post-secondary education and at least five years of business administration with two of those years in a human resources department.  Preferred degree at the Bachelor’s level, with studies in Business, Psychology, or HR/OD and five years of business/HR experience. Studies toward/completion of PHR certification preferred. Experience with Paycom is preferred, but not required.

This position requires unquestionable confidentiality, as well as excellent communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and deadlines. The incumbent is required to be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Must be able to work independently in the absence of supervision. The incumbent must have the skills to understand and utilize data storage/analysis programs, and complex interpersonal issues. The ability to audit processes and maintaining strong documentation skills are essential to success.

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour days, with occasional after-hours work

PPE

ANSI Z41 approved safety shoes, hearing and eye protection as appropriate for work area, gloves according to work task, and other PPE as assigned and required.

Tools and Equipment:

  • Various writing utensils, radios, phone, computer, printers, fax machines, calculators, various computer software required for specific roles.
