Job Overview:

 

We are seeking an experienced Zero Trust Architecture Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of our software product. As the Zero Trust Architecture Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining a Zero Trust security model to protect the IT infrastructure and data.  This role involved collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of our software product.  The ideal candidate will have experience in cybersecurity, network architecture, and Zero Trust principles.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a Zero Trust security architecture to enhance our software product.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures based on Zero Trust principles.
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and security teams to integrate Zero Trust controls across all systems and applications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and least privilege access.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Zero Trust architecture, policies and procedures.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and code implementations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in security audits and compliance efforts to ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices for Zero Trust security.

Qualifications

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer, Network Security Engineer, cybersecurity, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles and frameworks, such as NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and CISA’s EINSTEIN framework
  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Proficiency in network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security automation and orchestration tools
  • Experience with architecting Zero Trust solutions in alignment with industry standards, including NIST 800-207, CISA Maturity Model, or DoD Zero Trust Strategy.
  • Knowledge of network principles, such as ZTA, SASE, SD-WAN
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities and project needs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
