MVTA Trainer

Transit Bus Trainer – Full-Time 

Schmitty & Sons is looking for a full-time Transit Bus Trainer to join our team on the MVTA contract. In this role, you’ll train new and current drivers while ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train drivers in CDL skills, safety procedures, and MVTA route navigation
• Conduct behind-the-wheel training and performance evaluations
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation
• Assist with ongoing safety and compliance training

Requirements:

• Valid CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements for at least 2 years
• Training experience
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to learn and teach all MVTA routes
• Detail-oriented with strong computer skills for record-keeping
