POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintains building and grounds by providing housekeeping, grounds keeping and repair services.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Maintenance:     70%                                            

  • Cleans and maintains building interior by dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures; washing windows, counters, and walls; sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpeting; trash removal, and re-supplying rest rooms.
  • Reads and follows cleaning and maintenance products and equipment procedures (rules, regulations) to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.  
  • Performs routine HVAC maintenance duties, requiring understanding of HVAC systems.
  • Checks electrical breakers, when requested.
  • Performs maintenance projects, when requested.
  • Equipment, Furniture and Fixtures                  
  • Oversees the moving, repositioning and transfers of equipment and furniture, as directed, and coordinates record keeping of said transfers/moves.
  • Reviews requests for bank equipment, furniture, fixtures and telephones;  and confers with supervisor to coordinate purchases and deliveries of bank facility assets.    

Equipment, Furniture and Fixtures 20%

  • Operates equipment such as snow blower, lawn mower,  and hedge trimmer,  as requested.  Reads and follows all operational and safety procedures. 
  • Oversees the bank asset storage facilities.  Maintains records and inventory of furniture, fixtures and equipment so that it can eventually be effectively utilized in other areas of the bank, sold or donated.

Customer Service                             5%                

  • Ensures that a high level of response time and customer service is given to all customers, i.e. branches, departments, employees, vendors, contractors, suppliers, etc.

Other:                                       5%                 

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related goals, as needed.
  • Attends mandatory compliance and security sessions.  Monitors daily work for adherence to compliance and security regulations, policies/procedures, and promptly corrects any deficiencies.

COMPETENCIES:

Mechanical Skills

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Repairing

  • Ability to repair machines or systems using the needed tools.

Troubleshooting

  • Determines causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

Operation Monitoring

  • Watches gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Attention to Detail/Accuracy

  • Is careful, exact, and free from mistakes and errors.  Adheres closely to a set of standards.

  • Is pleasant with others on the job and displays a good-natured, cooperative attitude.

Qualifications

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Work is performed both outdoors and indoors
  • Exposed to cleaning chemicals.  
  • Able to climb ladders.
  • Able to lift from 50 to 75 pounds.
  • Manual and finger dexterity to move hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Multi-limb coordination to move two or more limbs simultaneously while sitting, standing, or lying down.
  • Arm-hand steadiness while moving or holding arm and/or hand in one position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write and understand instructions sufficiently to perform work safely and effectively.
  • Attention to detail in cleaning facilities.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • May require mechanical skills and safe and effective use or related tools, preferred.
