Description

PURPOSE:             

Be responsible for the daily operations, coding, and maintenance of the Bridger Bowl website including but not limited to design and development, day-to-day site functionality, content management and testing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design and develop engaging, responsive, custom web pages that reflect Bridger Bowl’s brand and provide an exceptional user experience across devices. 
  • Translate informational content into functional web pages.
  • Update website content and design on an ongoing basis.
  • Design, program, launch and maintain projects in coordination with developers.
  • Maintain historical records and document website development and revisions. 
  • Maintain and deploy modern security standards and best practices.
  • Integrate data from weather stations and webcams into web pages.
  • Continually work to improve functionality, speed, and ease of use of the website.
  • Evaluate and research emerging technologies related to web development, user experience and analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website problems as needed.
  • Understand and apply modern principles of Search Engine Optimization.
  • Support the dissemination of Bridger Bowl content to other sites and media outlets as assigned.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with marketing, events, IT and customer service teams.
  • Troubleshoot social media platforms and tools for marketing and customer relation purposes.
  • Use due diligence to provide security and confidentiality with personal and proprietary information related to Bridger Bowl, its customers and employees.
  • Stay up to date with current and emerging technologies.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support during critical periods and deadlines.
  • Provide accurate information regarding Bridger Bowl products, mountain details, services and regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in a variety of website programming languages and design principles.
  • Ability to design intuitive interfaces and optimize user experience for easy navigation across devices.
  • Ability to test and debug websites.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, using analytics and attention to detail. 
  • Technologies:  Expo Application Services, React Native, Google Play Store, Apple Developer, Amazon Web Services, Google Analytics 4, Tailwind CSS

SUPERVISION:

  • Supervision Given:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Supervision Received:  Works under the supervision of the Marketing Managers. Receives continued or individual assignments according to supervisors’ direction. Expectations are clearly set; advice and assistance are available as needed.  Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled seasonal check-ins.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand, type and sit at a desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements.
  • Wear proper protective apparel/equipment to be productive in a ski area environment, to prevent exposure to the elements, and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Be capable of lifting and carrying 40 lbs.
