Lending Intern

Position Summary: The Lending Intern at Texas Tech Credit Union will have the opportunity to work closely with our mortgage and consumer teams to learn valuable aspects of lending. This internship is designed to provide experience in the various aspects of mortgage and consumer loan industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of loan documents.
• Assist the loan originations team in preparing loans and organizing loan documentation.
• Evaluate loans at a high level to ensure a loan meets industry and investor underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
• Support the origination of a loan from application to funding.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled at least part time at Texas Tech University or Lubbock Christian University

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-pace and at times stressful environment.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and ability to execute.
