Overview:

The Cerity Partners Family office is seeking a self-motivated and team-oriented Wealth Planner to support and grow with our team.  As a Wealth Planner, you will partner with Advisors and internal experts to help support our highest-tier clients.  The ideal candidate has direct wealth management experience, the ability to nurture trusted relationships with high-net-worth clients, and a desire to build a career in this field.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Go above and beyond to exceed client expectations and develop strong relationships
  • Build Excel-based financial exhibits and analyses for client meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for client meetings and the execution of all action items resulting from meetings
  • Facilitate accurate and timely tax filings/payments through diligent tracking and gathering of all relevant tax documents throughout the year
  • Assist with subscriptions, capital calls/distributions, and reporting for Private Investments
  • Review quarterly investment portfolio performance reports for accuracy
  • Interact with clients’ external advisors (lawyers, accountants, etc.) to provide and request information
  • Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate account transfers, trading, and oversight
  • Help in the implementation of new processes and internal technology initiatives
  • Leverage Salesforce to thoroughly document client activity and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Proactively understand and address novel challenges and client requests

Qualifications:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment – multitasking while remaining highly organized
  • Dedication to providing exceptional client experience and maintaining an extremely high level of confidentiality
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactively identify needs and solutions
  • Resourceful self-starter that enjoys tackling new challenges
  • Ability to work and support others in a small team
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; advanced Excel experience a must
  • Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce preferred) and WealthTech platforms (Addepar a plus)
  • 1-5 years of experience in wealth management, ideally in a family office
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Economics
  • Series 65, or ability to obtain within 3 months of start
