Position Summary:
Plan and implement utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve operational efficiency. In conjunction with Human Resources, coordinate the safety and training activities for Kustom Signals, Inc.Â

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
- Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and schedules, to improve efficiency.
- Develop and implement operational solutions and business processes that align with company objectives.
- Create and maintain comprehensive work instructions for all production processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions for all production processes.
- Establish product cost, labor standards, and process routings.
- Maintain KSI product configurator to establish part numbers and costs for Order Entry.
- Drive Document Change Order (DCO) and Software Change Order (SCO) Processes in Configuration Management.
- Recommend methods to improve worker/process efficiency, reduce material waste, and enhance workflow through job restructuring and equipment purchases.

Safety
- Primary contact for safety issue resolution.
- Investigate, document, and analyze safety incidents to determine root causes, implementing corrective actions.
- Work with Human Resources on safety-related initiatives such as, new hire orientation, safety meetings and incentives, and Return to Work (RTW) program.
- Responsible for environmental compliance and on-site safety audits.

Quality Assurance
- Develop and oversee test procedures, quality inspection, and reporting systems (eg., SPC).
- Conduct and supervise quality reviews to identify and resolve performance and reliability issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to address product designs, specifications, materials, and tooling issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Direct: (1) Document Control Specialist
- Perform supervisory duties in compliance with company policies and laws, including:
- Interviewing, hiring, and training
- Performance evaluations
- Assigning tasks and managing workloads
- Addressing complaints and resolving conflicts

- Computers, fax machines, telephones, calculators
- Small hand tools and electronic test equipment
