Wheeling University is seeking an adjunct professor to teach in-person courses in Quantitative Business Analysis and Business Statistics for the upcoming semester. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both courses, fostering an engaging and effective learning environment, and ensuring that academic standards and course objectives are met.

Course Schedule:

  • Quantitative Business Analysis
    Tuesday & Thursday: 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM
  • Business Statistics
    Tuesday & Thursday: 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM

Course Descriptions:

  • Quantitative Business Analysis: This course introduces students to quantitative methods and models used in business decision-making, including optimization techniques, forecasting, linear programming, and data analysis.
  • Business Statistics: This course covers statistical techniques and tools for analyzing business data, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, probability distributions, and analysis of variance.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach assigned courses in Quantitative Business Analysis and Business Statistics.
  • Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, and exams.
  • Grade student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Hold office hours to provide student support and academic guidance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • A Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is required.
  • Previous teaching experience in business, statistics, or quantitative analysis is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive, dynamic, and engaging classroom environment.
