Job Summary: The Federal Work Study Wrestling Program Assistant at Wheeling University provides crucial support to the wrestling coaching staff and team operations. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for students passionate about wrestling to gain hands-on experience within a collegiate athletics program. Under the guidance of the coaching staff, the Program Assistant assists with various administrative, operational, and logistical tasks necessary for the successful functioning of the wrestling program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist coaches and staff with daily operations and logistics of the wrestling program.
- Aid in coordinating team practices, workouts, and competitions, including setup and breakdown of equipment and facilities.
- Help manage and maintain wrestling equipment inventory.
- Assist in video recording and analysis of wrestling matches and practices using designated software.
- Support recruitment efforts by assisting with campus visits, tours, and correspondence with prospective student-athletes.
- Provide administrative support such as organizing files, preparing documents, and scheduling meetings.
- Assist in fundraising activities and events to support the wrestling program.
- Uphold and promote NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
