Position Title: Federal Work Study - Cross Country and Track Team Assistant

Job Type: Part-Time, Federal Work Study Eligible

Hours: Flexible (15 hours per week)

Hourly Rate: $10 per hour

Job Summary: Wheeling University is seeking a motivated and dedicated student to join the Athletics Department as a Federal Work Study - Cross Country and Track Team Assistant. This position will provide valuable support to the coaching staff and student-athletes within the Cross Country and Track programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to teamwork and student-athlete development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist Coaching Staff: Aid coaches during practice sessions and meets as needed.
2. Team Support: Help coordinate team activities, including team travel, equipment management, and practice setup.
3. Athlete Assistance: Provide support to student-athletes during practices and competitions.
4. Event Management: Assist with the organization and execution of home meets and events hosted by the university.
5. Administrative Tasks: Help with administrative duties such as data entry, organizing schedules, and communication with team members.
6. Facility Maintenance: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of team facilities and equipment storage areas.

Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled as a student at Wheeling University and eligible for Federal Work Study.
