Tribal Diagnostics is searching for a part-time Clinical Consultant with either an MD or DO with board certification in a relevant medical specialty (e.g., Pathology, Internal Medicine, etc.). The position will require 8-10 hours per month. 

Job Summary:

The Clinical consultant renders opinions concerning clinical protocols, lab testing methodologies patient diagnosis and treatment of patient care in accordance with Federal Regulations governing clinical laboratories. The Clinical Consultant will collaborate closely with our lab staff, medical professionals, and clients to ensure the highest quality of diagnostic services This role requires a deep understanding of clinical diagnostics, regulatory standards, and patient care best practices.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical consultation on diagnostic testing, including test interpretation and clinical relevance.
  • Review and advise on the development of clinical protocols and laboratory procedures.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and management to ensure quality and accuracy in testing and reporting.
  • Support the education and training of healthcare providers on the use and interpretation of diagnostic testing services.
  • Stay up-to-date with advances in medical diagnostics and communicate relevant developments to the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and industry regulations and guidelines.
  • Serve as a clinical liaison for healthcare providers and clients, offering expertise in diagnostic testing.
  • Review abnormal test results and consult with healthcare providers regarding appropriate follow-up.
  • Be familiar with CLIA and CAP regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to continually improve lab performance and patient outcomes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new diagnostic services as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • MD or DO with board certification in a relevant medical specialty (e.g., Pathology, Internal Medicine, etc.).
  • Active medical license in the state of [TX, OK etc].
  • 5+ years of experience in clinical diagnostics, laboratory medicine, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical testing methodologies, lab operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult with medical professionals and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
