Finance Intern, Commercial Real Estate

About the Position:

First Internet Bank provides exciting internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank Internship Program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and to present interns with real world insight into the financial/real estate industry. As a Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Lending Intern at First Internet Bank, you will have the opportunity to work closely with all members of the CRE team in order to complete a variety of tasks.

What You Will Do:

• Work adjacent to Portfolio Managers to achieve a comprehensive understanding of CRE underwriting.
• Work with Relationship Managers to get an introduction on CRE loan structuring and risk identification
• Maintain periodic loan reporting requirements and complete various portfolio management activities
• Perform research and analysis on commercial real estate market conditions
• Assist with file organization and periodic administrative tasks, as needed
• Participate in internal and external meetings with colleagues and customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Current Sophomore or Junior with demonstrated interest in Real Estate/Commercial Real Estate
• This internship requires an ongoing pursuit of a college degree preferably in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organization & data management skills
• Superb communication skills

Working Conditions/Demands:

• Professional office setting.
• Position may require long periods of time working at a computer.
• Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
