Description

The Quality Assurance Technician I performs quality assurance and quality control functions; and supports US Digital to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, protocols, and policies.

 

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other Duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the identification and development of required procedures and processes related to the Quality Management System
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company-specific regulations related to quality of product, employee and to the proper performance of day-to-day activities
  • Review equipment calibration, validation, and maintenance records to ensure they are performed correctly and on time
  • Perform detailed inspections of components and completed assemblies at various phases of production and throughout the manufacturing processes
  • Quality testing
  • Preparation of Quality documentation and review for completeness and accuracy to meet both internal and external expectations
  • Maintain Quality records
  • Documentation of nonconforming material; both clearly and accurately
  • Assist with the actual labor and manufacturing of projects as time permits/as needed
  • Communicate to all individuals effectively
  • Participate in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.)
  • Participate in process improvement teams and/or completes relative documentation when required
  • Familiarity with ISO standards a plus, but not required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  1. Experience in precision inspection and quality systems, in a manufacturing environment
  2. Knowledge and use of Micrometers, Calipers, Thread & Pin Gauges, Surface Plates and Height Gauges
  3. Experience with Comparator and CMM machine a plus
  4. Blueprint, 2D and 3D model reading knowledge
  5. Strong computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Windows applications
  6. Attention to detail, accurate and concise
  7. Able to keep neat and organized record and files
  8. Good problem solving skills
  9. Safety conscious at all times
  10. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and able to read and write in English
  11. Authorized to work in the US
  12. Fluency in other foreign language(s) is a plus
  13. Be able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 50lbs, reading, nimbleness of hands for typing and writing
  14. Possess leadership skills and ability to be led in a manner that is healthy to our positive and collaborative work environment
  15. Emphasizes personal and professional growth, keeps knowledge and skills current
  16. Must rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a variety of tasks
  17. High school diploma or GED
