Salary if Licensed:  $ 62,000- $ 72,000 / year depending on years of Experience.

Salary if Unlicensed: $ 42,000- $ 52,000 / year depending on years of Experience.

PURPOSE:
To provide an array of clinical mental health, trauma-informed, strength-based services to children, youth, and young adults ages 10 to 22 years who have severe autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This position will use evidence-based practices delivered within the guidelines of best practices and emerging trends in mental health and trauma-informed care for individuals with autism and I/DD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The list of essential duties and responsibilities, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the task to be performed. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein is such duties are a logical assignment to the position.
1) Maintains a full-time caseload of individuals served and completes necessary clinical, DHS, DCFS documentation as required by governing entities.
2) Develops appropriate treatment plans and safety plans based on formal and informal assessment results that align with the social emotional learning standards incorporating the youths present level of performance with annual goal(s), and objectives/benchmarks to meet the annual goal(s).
3) Participate and facilitate onboarding, annual and in-house professional development, and trainings throughout the year.
4) Provide consultation with other service providers regarding clients therapeutic needs.
5) Complete therapy notes and minute logs, as well as enter specific data points into the goal tracking system. Documents contact with client, collaterals, and service providers (clinical documentation requirements) These will be done daily and then compiled on a monthly basis as to ensure the required minute requirements are met each month.
6) Ability to effectively interpret and communicate assessment results, evaluations, and proposed treatment in a manner easily understood by team members, funding sources, and parents (if necessary).
7) Attend and participate in individual and group clinical supervision as scheduled.
8) Attend and participate in team and department meetings or any other meetings related to the youth as scheduled.
9) Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays to support the youth and fellow team members.
10) Collaborate as needed with teams regarding possible interventions when youth are not making the expected progress at the rotating clinical meetings.
11) Establish and maintain a consistent form of communication including modeling strategies, discussing youth progress, and assessments needs with the home manager, case managers, behavior team, clinical team, school, life skills instructors, and parents/guardians of youth as needed on caseload throughout the year.
12) Maintains clinical skills through training and review of professional literature.
13) Comply with professional code of ethics.
14) Participates with the rest of the clinical team in the on-call after hours rotation.
15) Attends and participates in clinical supervision as necessary and indicated for obtaining and maintaining licensure.
16) Successfully completes Little City Foundation required training, re-training and any additional training as required by Little City Foundation policies and practices, or as assigned by his or her immediate supervisor.
17) Other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Masters degree in social work, other behavioral health sciences or related field required. LSW or LPC required or eligible to sit for these licenses. Must have a minimum of 1-year of experience conducting individual, group and family therapy with individuals who have developmental, behavioral and/or emotional challenges. Knowledge and experience working with youth who have experienced childhood trauma, strongly preferred. Experience with DHS and DCFS is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Employee is required to remain compliant with all state/federal, position, agency, accreditation, and funding source training/licensing requirements. Employee is required to possess the skill and ability to utilize all applicable technology related to his/her position. Must possess a valid drivers license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to sitting for prolonged periods; frequently walks, stands, grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches,or crawls. Extended use of computer and typing is required. The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working and handling office equipment. The employee is subject to assist and support up to 25 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a reoccurring basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate office equipment. No occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, or other potentially infectious substances (Category I). Typical office environment.
