We have seasonal openings in our Call Center located in Burlington, VT (remote work option available!)

 

We are looking for seasonal SALES & SERVICE SPECIALISTS to provide exceptional customer service to our customers both over the phone and through e-mail.  We are seeking reliable & quick learners who are enthusiastic, outgoing, upbeat, flexible, computer savvy, team-oriented and who will thrive in a busy contact center.  Not a plant expert? Not a problem!

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll do: 

  • You’ll master our online order entry system.  You will navigate quickly and accurately through multiple screens to enter address, product and billing information while talking to a customer on the phone or responding to customer e-mails.
  • We expect our sales team to engage in conversation with our customers to determine their needs and make relevant product suggestions.
  • You will take incoming customer service calls.  During these calls, you’ll address inquiries with patience and empathy by directly resolving the issue or escalating to a more experienced Specialist.
  • This is a sedentary job. You’ll spend the majority of your time sitting down.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

To succeed as a Seasonal Sales and Service Specialist, you must:

  • Have average to strong computer experience
  • Have strong written, verbal and negotiation skills
  • Be professional, caring and confident on each phone call
  • Be willing to implement coaching feedback, and be committed to consistent improvement
  • Have excellent attendance

 

Things you should know:

  • You must be able to attend all of the mandatory training you’re scheduled for, including an initial 3-day on-site training.
  • After the initial training, we will schedule you based on your availability within our requirements as follows:
    • You must be able to work 2-3 Saturdays per month.
    • You must be available for 20 hours or more each week, and a minimum of 4 hours per scheduled shift.
    • Hours are not guaranteed. Your schedule will fluctuate based on forecasted work volumes.
  • All calls are recorded for quality assurance. Your calls will be monitored for coaching purposes.
