The School of Health Sciences seeks an Assistant Professor of Forensic Science for a 2025-2026 appointment.
The School of Health Sciences at Lasell University in Newton, Massachusetts seeks a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and collaborative individual to assume the responsibilities of Assistant Professor of Forensic Science for an undergraduate FEPAC accredited Forensic Science Program. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, 9-month appointment to begin immediately reporting to the Program Chair of Forensic Science within the School of Health Sciences.
The successful candidate will join our growing undergraduate and graduate academic programs in the dynamic School of Health Sciences, established in 2018. More senior rank will be considered based on experience and other credentials.

Responsibilities:
All faculty members must report to campus a minimum of 4 days a week and will teach 4 courses (12 credits) per semester. Teaching responsibilities include forensic science courses and additional teaching assignments where expertise aligns with program needs. The candidate must have the ability to teach non-forensic science-based science courses that align with the candidates’ field of expertise. The ideal candidate should be highly experienced and skilled in undergraduate curriculum development which aligns with FEPAC accreditation standards. Course development will include didactic and laboratory instruction and assessment in forensic science and areas of disciplinary expertise. Successful candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, serving as a champion for forensic science program through positive interaction with prospective students and the public.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence and enthusiasm in teaching and student advocacy; commitment to productivity and professional development; and active participation in school and college service that includes but is not limited to faculty standing committee work and academic advising.
Student mentoring, academic advising at the undergraduate level, and new course development to support the dynamic and growing area is required. Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to collegiality and teamwork. Our growing undergraduate and graduate programs are looking to enhance and diversify offerings. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both within and beyond program specific needs to shape the on-going development of the curricula offered within the School of Health Sciences.
