Summary
This position will support the association's commercial payment initiatives and advocacy including on health plan and other payment policies, alternative payment models/value-based care, quality, interoperability and EHR/HIT efforts (eg, HL7), coding and billing (CPT/RUC), administrative burden reduction, and other health care policies. Assists department colleagues with carrying out efforts to meet objectives on organizational priorities with a focus on departmental contributions to the commercial payment and public affairs strategy for the Association. Supports operational needs for and works with APTA leadership. Provides support with data entry as appropriate including compliance documents. Seeks out and supports opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities. Effective champion of the Association vision, mission, and brand.
Essential Functions
- Provide support with outreach and communication with insurance companies;
- Provide support and communication with members on latest payer developments;
- Creating content and resources for company website and other communications, presentations;
- Collaborate with Regulatory and Government Affairs on emerging payment issues;
- Supports the Public Affairs team in the implementation of the programs, priorities, and projects in partnership with the Association and staff colleagues;
- Prepares, in consultation with the Director, data which supports and aligns with the APTA payment strategy.
