Summary
The Regional IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to end-users combined with network and server support within a specific region. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support to end-users within the region, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues 
  2. Monitor and respond to alerts of network or server issues
  3. Respond to help desk tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner 
  4. Work with other IT teams to ensure consistency and standardization of IT systems and infrastructure across the organization 
  5. Install and configure network and server hardware 
  6. Maintain inventory and documentation of all IT assets within the region
  7. Manage site wiring and wireless implementation projects
  8. Assist in projects as needed at other PlayCore sites outside of the assigned region
  9. Must be available nights and weekends for emergencies as needed
  10. Other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's degree in information technology or related field AND Two years of related experience, OR Four years of related experience

 

Travel

  • Travel in this position is required. Expected travel is approximately 35%. Travel up to a week at a time may be required.

 

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to effectively, and professionally, communicate through verbal and written means with employees of the organization.

 

Reasoning Ability

  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Troubleshooting skill are imperative to this position. Facts cannot be established without proper troubleshooting.

 

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be

  • Expert on Windows desktop operating systems
  • Experienced with Microsoft Server Operating Systems and applications such as Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Experienced with TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experienced in switch and firewall deployments and configuration

 

Other Skills

  • The ability to work under limited supervision to complete assigned tasks and perform the essential duties and responsibilities expected of this position.
