JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled CIVIL ESTIMATOR with expertise in civil construction and the design of artificial turf bases. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of civil engineering principles and experience in estimating projects related to artificial turf installation and base construction. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Estimates vary in complexity and value depending on job type, ranging from $0.5M - $5M+.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, specifically focusing on the design and installation of artificial turf bases.
• Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Assess cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Obtains, reviews and negotiates offers and quotes with subcontractors or vendors
• Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Provides consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs etc.)
• Keep abreast of changes in the industry, including new estimating methods and the price of materials.
• Identifies and determines key drivers of risk, cost and profitability in a given design, performs risk analysis
• Prepare and present reports detailing the cost estimate information for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure accurate cost data for materials and equipment.
• Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• PE license preferred
• Proven experience as a construction/project estimator with specific knowledge in civil construction and artificial turf base design.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and civil engineering principles.
• Experience with financial and project management principles
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite. Specifically Excel, MS Project (Plan Swift, ProCore, AGTEK, or similar)
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
