FWS - Athletic Facilities Assistant

Purpose

Student workers will be asked to fill one or more positions related to the ongoing maintenance of Pacific University (Oregon) athletic facilities, including Stoller Center, Hanson Stadium, Chuck Bafaro Stadium, Sherman / Larkins Stadium, and Holce Tennis Courts.

Available Positions   

• Athletic Turf Assistant (Multiple Roles): Utilize LitterKat Turf Sweeper and GreenZapr towed by a utility vehicle (will undergo certification to drive) to clean, brush and sanitize athletic turf surfaces located inside the Stoller Center Fieldhouse and out at Hanson Stadium, Bafaro Stadium and Sherman / Larkins Stadium

• Athletic Grounds Assistant I (Multiple Roles):  Assist with maintaining the natural competition surfaces at Bafaro Stadium and Sherman / Larkins Stadium,  including utilizing a nail drag towed behind a utility vehicle (will undergo certification to drive) to keep warning tracks clear of grass / weeds.

• Athletic Grounds Assistant II (Multiple Roles):  Use leaf blower and / or pressure washer to keep all competitions surfaces and spectator areas for the Pacific University (Oregon) men’s and women’s tennis and men’s and women’s track and field programs clean and free of debris

• Field Painting Assistant (Multiple Roles):  Assist with the painting of indoor and outdoor practice and competition surfaces for the Pacific University (Oregon) baseball, football, lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, softball and men’s and women’s track and field programs

• Stoller Gymnasium Cleaner (Multiple Roles):  Assist with the sweeping and washing of all three Stoller Gymnasium competition surfaces and keeping all surrounding spectator areas clean

• Team Laundry Assistant (Multiple Roles):  Assist with laundering of practice and competition uniforms for varsity / club sport programs at Pacific University (Oregon)

• Stoller Wrestling Room Cleaner (Multiple Roles):  Assist with cleaning and sanitization of all Stoller Wrestling Room practice surfaces

• Must be a student attending Pacific University (Oregon)

• Must be eligible to receive Federal Work Study

• Must possess a valid driver’s license

• Appropriate certifications in First Aid / CPR, AED, driving a utility vehicle and proper use of a ladder are required within an appropriate time of hire

• Willingness to comply with all departmental personnel, safety, quality and housekeeping policies, practices and procedures

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all department matters
