Summary: Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality driven. Work in a team in a fast paced work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
- Do or direct all maintenance wiring, installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, testing, and power circuits.
- Determine proper size and specifications of wire, conduit, switches, panels, fuses, ect.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and circuit diagrams..
- Inspect motors, switches, junction boxes, switch panels, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, lighting, heating and power circuit. Make preventive and running repairs and corrections.
- Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs industrial control systems and related devices including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces ( HMI), distributed control systems and Drives.
- Performs preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- The Electrician is responsible for supporting the Maintenance department.
- Responsible for day to day maintenance and troubleshooting of the plant electrical equipment and controls.
- Work independent to analyze and recommend repair steps on equipment failures. Must demonstrate electrical insight when recommending repairs.
- Help with breakdowns on both lines and other plant equipment.
- Proficient in manufacturing Start-ups and Shut-downs.
- Complete work orders as assigned by Supervisor.
- Capable of entering work order status, time worked, and repair parts information into the CMM system.
- Always maintains an orderly, clean and safe working area.
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit, palls wire.
- Connects wiring to lighting fixtures , power equipment, and cameras/ NVR’s
- Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
- Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, amp clamp, and oscilloscope.
- Experience with or combination of several Allen Bradley RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, Compact Logix, AB/Rockwell HMI’s, SCADA.
- Observes functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
- Responsible for product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and product quality.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 0-2 employees in the electrical department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience: Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough understanding in 480V, 3 phase power and its distribution, Able to troubleshoot and repair relay circuits.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Entry Level

Other Skills and Abilities:
Other Qualifications: Individual must be able to work any shift. Individual must be available to work7 days a week during the production season.
- Monday- Sunday during the months of July- October
- Monday – Friday during the months of November- June

- Overtime may be available based on business needs.
