The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and vehicles used. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems and components, ensuring maximum uptime and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment, this involves inspecting and replacing parts as necessary to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using various diagnostic tools and techniques. 
  • Conduct necessary repairs or replacements of faulty components to restore equipment to operational condition.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures to ensure optimal performance and availability of equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, hours spent, and equipment condition.
  • Generate reports on equipment status, maintenance schedules, and completed repairs to provide accurate information to management.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for maintenance and repairs.
  • Coordinate with procurement personnel to ensure availability and timely replenishment.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to troubleshoot complex issues and find innovative solutions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, 3 plus years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic in the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems commonly used in the water transfer industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

  • Work is frequently performed in outdoor weather conditions, including exposure to rain, extreme cold and heat, and proximity to moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is anticipated.
  • Exposure to noise levels necessitating the use of hearing protection.
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
