Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Position requires rotational OCONUS deployments.
  • Resource is for an on-site Shift Leader that directs the performance of all Organizational-Level maintenance, repairs and modifications on MQ-9 aircraft and associated equipment in accordance with (IAW) applicable government publications and directives.
  • Attends customer meetings as required by the Performance Work Statement and is prepared to discuss maintenance actions and their impact on operations and logistics.
  • Directs and assists in servicing and troubleshooting to the level described in the applicable MQ-9 Technical Orders, LRU removal and replacement for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, scheduled periodic inspections and post-maintenance checks and verifications.
  • Enforces strict adherence to technical data and management procedures IAW TO 00-5-1.
  • Ensure aircraft and equipment status is accurately reflected in both the maintenance forms and the Maintenance Information System (MIS).
  • Verifies aircraft status in the MIS no less than once per shift.
  • Manages the maintenance production effort by assigning priorities to meet the maintenance schedule.
  • Fully understands and is prepared to implement disaster control duties and responsibilities pertaining to aircraft/SE movement and personnel evacuation IAW government directives.
  • Maintains a current copy of the on-base disaster map with cordon overlay and appropriate functional checklists outlining duties.
  • Understands aircraft status and inventory reporting as covered in Air Force Instruction 21-103 and applicable supplements.
  • Determines, tracks, and reports aircraft status, including ETIC, IAW AFI 21-103 and government directives.
  • Authorize CANN actions when authorized. Informs and provides aircraft status updates to the Maintenance Operations Control Center (MOCC).
  • Verifies MICAP conditions exist and reviews MICAP‘s status daily for accuracy.
  • Ensures strict compliance and adherence with environmental directives and applicable environmental protection and/or compliance guidance.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable government safety directives, standards, and industrial safety publications.
  • Encourages a work environment of zero accident and injuries including no lost time accidents.
  • Other duties and requirements as identified and/or prescribed to meet program requirements.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have at least nine (9) years of experience in aircraft maintenance with at least three (3) years’ experience in a leadership and/or management role equivalent to an U.S. Air Force Maintenance or Production Superintendent.
  • Must have at least one (3) year of experience on the MQ-1 and/or MQ-9 aircraft.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable maintenance directives listed in Air Force Instruction 21-101.
  • Possess the ability cultivate relations and build partnerships at all levels.
  • Demonstrate ability for problem solving and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2008/AS 91000 quality standards and related federal/state/local laws and regulations.

Security Responsibilities

  • Eligible and obtain (if required) a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.  

 

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex word and technical documents/diagrams.  

Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.

 

Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills 

Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.

  • Will be working in areas with risk of injury from electrical applications, moving mechanical parts, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems under pressure and electrical motion systems. 
  • May be exposed to conditions of extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
