Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Position requires rotational OCONUS deployments.
  • The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated facility.
  • Inspects, troubleshoots, and performs scheduled and unscheduled organizational level maintenance utilizing applicable Air Force directives/instructions on MQ-9 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA).
  • Perform acceptance and transfer inspections, towing, servicing, and ground handling actions.
  • Remove and replace line replaceable units and flight control components.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of AFTO 781 series forms and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) in accordance with Air Force directives.
  • Identify and communicate maintenance support requirements to the flight line expediter or production supervisor.
  • Perform RPA and equipment packing/shipping to fulfill worldwide mobility tasking.
  • Monitor and manage technical training.
  • Conduct task evaluations to assigned personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government safety directives, standards, and industrial safety publications.
  • Encourage a work environment of zero accident and injuries including no lost time accidents.
  • Other duties and requirements as identified and/or prescribed to meet program requirements.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • At least four (4) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
  • At least one (1) year of MQ-1 and/or MQ-9 aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable maintenance directives listed in Air Force Instruction 21-101.
  • Possess the ability to cultivate relations and building partnerships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability for problem solving and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2018/AS9100 quality standards and related federal/state/local laws and regulations.

Security Responsibilities

  • Eligible and obtain (if required) a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
  • Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.  

Language Skills

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex word and technical documents/diagrams.  
  • Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.

Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills 

Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.

  • Will be working in areas with risk of injury from electrical applications, moving mechanical parts, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems under pressure and electrical motion systems.  
  • May be exposed to conditions of extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
