Job Description

 

  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information be- tween point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions.
  • Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. 
  • Performs property management activities including but not limited to receiving, posting, issue, disposal, and any other life cycle sustainment activities in support of the task order.
  • Performs data cleanse, analysis, reconciliation, and stock record maintenance in the assigned Accountability Property System of Record (APSR) GCSS-Army and other systems such as DST and LMP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Inspect supporting documentation and equipment for turn-in.
  • Process NME equipment into DST upon receipt of items and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct pack, wrap, and ship of inventory via STO/SO.
  • Sustain stocks onsite in inventory MGNT Tool until follow-on movement.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and documentation inspections.
  • Transition to theater LMP/RPAT sites after pack, wrap, and ship of inventory via STO/SO.
  • Conduct physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, plant, or property account records.
  • Prepare and submit correspondence and job order reports as required.
  • Prepare equipment and paperwork necessary to facilitate the onward movement of equipment to DRMO, CONUS, APOD, FOB, AOB, or other designated locations via US Postal Service, DHL, FED EX, or other US Military approved ground or air transport methods/means.
  • Conduct direct exchange of equipment with all SOF users IAW applicable policies and SOPs.
  • Receive and screen lists or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for planned programs or work operations and collate and assemble lists of equipment and parts needed for acquisition plans.
  • Initiate, prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other ap- propriate supply organizations. Search catalogs, records, or other data sources to obtain or correct stock numbers or to find authorized substitutes for stock items.
  • Prepare DD Form 1348, DA form 3161, DA form 3318, DA form 2062, DA Form 2407, DA Form 2404, Missing Parts Notifications, Notifications of Non Fair Wear and Tear damage, Trip Reports, and Shipping paperwork (DHL/FED EX, USPS, DD 1149, US Customs Declaration etc.) IAW instructions received from supervisory personnel.
  • Ensure security requirements for storage, issue, and/or shipment and transport of COMSEC and Sensitive Items are adhered to.
  • Operate GMV, NSCV, ATV, Bobcat, MHE and/or commercial vehicles in the conduct of daily duties and assignments and perform required daily operator maintenance.
  • Work Orders, Ground Precautionary Messages, and Maintenance Advisory Messages.
  • Technical Inspectors will access technical manuals and information via the SSAVIE portal or via an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) portal/website.
  • Ensure proper submission of inspection documentation to any government agency.
  • Assign condition codes to each equipment after each inspection.
  • Submit maintenance requisitions via an automated or manual supply transactions.
  • Review, edit and post all received supply transactions within automated systems.
  • Create, review and submit daily ADHOC reports via automated system.
  • Conduct monthly parts reconciliations with the SSA and causative research against inventory and requisition discrepancies.
  • Maintain and properly file hard copy files of supply transactions, voucher numbers, causative research, adjustment documents, documents, document register, and other records related to maintenance operations.
  • Diagnose the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required for each equipment. Assist in the turn-in of equipment by replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts. Grinding and adjusting valves. Rebuilding carburetors. Overhauling transmissions. Repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems. All duties must be performed according to safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience with Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A) is preferred with a thorough and complete understanding of manual unit supply procedures, to include operations as of a unit repair parts specialist and property book technician, to perform vehicle, equipment and container maintenance management and repair part supply functions.
  • Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) certified. 
  • Joint Inspection (JI) qualified. 
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license, and be able to obtain, where required, the appropriate special license/certification for equipment to be operated to include but not limited to forklifts of varying size and configuration, NSCV’s, Bobcats, ATV’s, GMV’s, and 15K trucks. 
  • Possess excellent work ethics, verbal and written communication skills and be detailed and accurate in performing all administrative and routine functions. 
  • Be able to work in an environment that is fast-paced while completing multiple tasks and meeting stringent timelines, to include ability to work independently without direct supervision. 
  • Be able to write correspondence in a military format, when necessary, such as correspondence using the Army Writing System in accordance with AR 25-50. 
  • Able to enter data into multiple databases or spreadsheets. Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for both newly entered and previously entered data. Retrieve data and use data to respond to a variety of Customer and vendor inquiries. Perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures. 
  • Able to conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns; assemble retrieved information into different formats to meet different requirements; for example, status reports, unmet Customer needs, and other similar areas. 
  • Maintain files in accordance with applicable Army, Navy, and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations. 
  • Proficiently use MS Office application software to maintain data and submit reports of varying types and formats via internal management control databases, spreadsheets, and other reporting tools in a variety of program application software. 
  • Be willing to attend and satisfactorily complete, required training associated with job responsibilities. 
  • Crosstrain with other contracted positions to fill in during absences (specific to exempt/salaried positions.

  • Possess task order appropriate security clearance prior to beginning support of this effort and maintain said clearance throughout duration of support of this effort.

  • Meet CENTCOM Current deployment health standards.
  • All new hires will process through the CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) at Fort Bliss, TX and be approved for deployment to include received required USG issued PPE.  
  • Be capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 40 lbs. unassisted.
