Universal Parking is looking to hire a Vice President of Operations to lead and drive business growth across our Midwest market. This is a remote position for candidates based in the Midwest, with frequent travel required.

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Vice President (VP) of Operations to oversee operations and business development efforts across multiple markets in the Midwest. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the region, with frequent travel required to manage operations and business development activities. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations while also driving new business growth through targeted sales efforts. You will develop strategic plans, lead operational teams, and manage client relationships across the region. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent sales and relationship-building skills, and a track record of delivering results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Leadership: Oversee and manage day-to-day operations across multiple locations within the region, ensuring high standards of service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets, focusing on healthcare facilities and other potential clients that align with Universal Parking’s services.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the CEO and business development teams to design and implement regional sales strategies, targeting new clients and identifying opportunities for program takeovers.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of General Managers and other operational staff, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, optimize operational costs, and ensure financial health for all locations in the region.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for service improvements.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation and presentation of detailed proposals to potential clients, including healthcare executives and other decision-makers.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze operational and financial performance across the region, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
  • Travel & Presentations: Travel throughout the region to meet with potential clients, provide detailed presentations, and close sales agreements.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior management role with a focus on business development, operations management, and team leadership.
  • Strong background in sales strategy, including lead generation, proposal development, and closing deals.
  • In-depth knowledge of business operations, with experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and cost optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive business growth.
  • Leadership and communication skills to inspire and manage diverse teams and engage with clients at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales or management, preferably within the parking management or healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Ability to travel throughout the region as required.
