Position Description

The Green Shoe Foundation therapists facilitates a five-day (Monday-Friday / business hours/daytime) wellness retreat focusing on experiencing a significant transformational change grounded in a trauma-informed approach.

 

Therapists help raise awareness of how less-than-nurturing childhood experiences, family roles and systems are reenacted in participants’ current lives and relationships.

 

Training will be provided to implement this very effective recovery model with on-going clinical support and debriefing. Paperwork is minimal. The therapeutic role will be leading the Green Shoe Foundation’s intensive group counseling retreats, performing intake assessments, educational presentations and community outreach.

Qualifications, Requirements and Preferred Experience

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or closely related field
  • Active license (LCSW or LMSW Under Supervision, LPC, LMFT, LBP, LADC or LADC/MH) in good standing from one of the following Boards of licensure:  Psychology, Social Work (clinical specialty only; under supervision/LMSW may be considered depending on experience), Behavioral Health, or Alcohol and Drug.
  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years of counseling experience (may include practicum, period of clinical supervision or post licensure) delivering direct behavioral healthcare services utilizing a multicultural trauma informed care approach with clients.
  • Experience conducting individual, family and group therapy, to include facilitating psychoeducational, didactic, experiential, or process groups.
  • Ability to conduct biopsychosocial assessments and development treatment strategies and managing crisis. Experience utilizing therapist and community referrals, and mental health resources
  • Specialized training in trauma and trauma interventions and related treatment modalities that may include but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt, Mindfulness, and Art Therapy
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records and related technology for performance of the work to include but not limited to MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication and capacity to  interact effectively and professionally  in team environment
  • Must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to personal self-care, and a plan for personal growth and development
  • Must have a history of personal therapeutic work and trauma reconciliation while remaining  committed to a personal healing journey, self-improvement, or recovery

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct clinical work in alignment with the program model and at the direction and leadership of the Clinical Director
  • Commitment to providing trauma-informed care to clients
  • Lead  weekly  intensive group counseling retreats, conduct intake assessments, lead educational presentations, engage in community outreach, and develop and deliver psychoeducational materials within framework of the program model
  • Facilitate communication with participant therapist for referral back to community or link participant with options for aftercare upon completion of retreat
  • Accurately complete required clinical documentation within required timeframes and within the organizational electronic recordkeeping system
  • Provide community outreach.
  • Knowledgeable of agency policies and procedures, compliance with agency oversight bodies, and adherence to agency and professional codes of ethics including but not limited to federal, state and local statutes and rules governing behavioral health (HIPAA, OK Title 43A), Oklahoma Administrative Rules (Title 450), and others as applicable.
  • Maintain professional competency in their discipline through appropriate readings, attendance at workshops/trainings, and through consultation with other professionals while complying with all requirements to maintain professional licensure or licensure candidacy, as applicable.
  • Meet or exceed established productivity requirements.
  • Participate in agency staff meetings, training and consultations.
  • Perform other appropriate and related responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or organizational leadership.
