POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service within the life sciences and diagnostic products industry. This role involves engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare weekly action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Identify sales prospects and contacts and other accounts as assigned.
  • Make a minimum of 50 unique calls per day.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from call activity.
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients via phone.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
  • Complete a task and call log daily to include contacts title, phone number, product discussion and next steps.
  • Meet or exceed established monthly sales goals on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Meet with customers or potential customers in person on occasion.

 

Sales Generation:

    • Proactively reach out to potential and existing customers through phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings.
    • Identify and qualify sales opportunities by understanding customer needs and requirements.
    • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

 

Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
    • Provide product information, demonstrations, and technical support as needed.

 

Product Knowledge:

    • Develop a deep understanding of the company's life sciences and diagnostic products.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
    • Communicate product features, benefits, and technical specifications to customers.

 

Sales Strategy and Planning:

    • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
    • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
    • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics.

 

Customer Support:

    • Assist customers with product selection, ordering processes, and post-sales support.
    • Handle customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Coordinate with the logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of products.

 

Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
    • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events.
    • Share customer feedback and insights with the product development team to drive continuous improvement.

 

Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
    • Prepare and submit sales proposals, contracts, and other documentation as required.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in inside sales, preferably within the life sciences or diagnostic products industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
